Тhe article is devoted to the problem of sustainable development of the Russian regions in terms of modern concepts of environmental management. There is the multilevel approach to the management of environmental management, based on the realization of economic imperatives. The theoretical and practical applied scientific results of the scientific school in implementing a tiered approach to solving environmental problems.
