Prerequisites and consequences of the introduction inflation targeting in countries with developing markets

The paper reviews the studies on monetary policy carried out in emerging market countries. The author compares different point of views on main principles of monetary policy and stresses the advantages and obstacles of inflation targeting poli-cy as well as alternative methods of monetary control in emerging market countries.
