Academic effectiveness of Russian higher economic schools

In recent years, competition among Russian higher economic schools increased. To establish the results of this competition, the article suggests a special academic ranking designed to determine the effectiveness of research activities of Russian universities, based on the account of their publications in leading economic journals of the country. The ranking is made for the period from 2010 to 2012. Verification of the stability of the ranking is made. A model of the universities’ success is revealed
