Modern approaches to innovative competition investigation and technological management in Russia

Innovation activity of firms is one of the most important aspects of contemporary economic analysis. Three areas of such research are dealt with in the article, namely: from theory of firm point of view; from market structure analysis, and from economy performance viewpoint. Positive characteristics and limitations of static and dynamic approaches towards innovation competition are demonstrated. The relationship between economics of innovation and practice of technological management is provided. A detailed investigation of Russian technological management is presented as an example.
