By the material of his own biography, author reflects on the forms and practices of the contemporary Russian propaganda. It reproduces the basic provisions of Soviet statism: the notion of the government absolute truth and priority of state interests over the interests of individuals and society. But the Soviet state was not fair, it was based on lies and hypocrisy. As suggested by the author, the recent history of Russia allows to speak about transformation of Russia’s Soviet past in the present.
