The article analyzes the socio-economic characteristics of urban agglomerations in contemporary urbanization trends. This study concerns the development of the municipality «City Pyatigorsk» was aimed at identifying indicators enhance its attractiveness and make recommendations for appropriate action of the city administration in order to increase its investment status.
