Institutional foundations of intellectual property: the advantages and disadvantages

Focus of this article is the intellectual property in the light of the institutional and economic direction. A general description of the Institute of Intellectual Property, reveals its main functions, as well as international practice diversity of intellectual property regimes. Address issues important advantages and disadvantages of a number of patent systems. As the correction of negative effects of the Institute of Intellectual Property is provided the use of mechanisms such as compulsory licensing, purchasing, patent, price discrimination and crosslicensing.
